O-band amplifier (PDFA, Bench Top)

The AMP-FL8611-OB and 8612-OB series is bench-top-type O-band fiber amplifier that can generate >200mW output power and >30dB gain at in the O-band. It is based on FiberLabs' proprietary fluoride fiber PDFA technology.


The O-band is primarily used for high-speed ethernet (100G, 400G, 800G and beyond), and our PDFA has been intensively used for transceiver testing (e.g. receiver stress test) since early 2010s. The 1300-nm wavelength region is also recognized as the second window for in-vivo imaging, and our PDFA can be used for bio imaging.


The amplifier can be controlled directly from the front panel, as well as remotely via GP-IB and RS-232C. Such highly functional control features enable users to use the amplifier in a wide range of situations, from university research to highly automated production line.


Also available in rack-mount and OEM module format.
